  Act City

  Act Tower, the symbol of Hamamatsu is the tallest building (212m) in Shizuoka Prefecture. It houses an observatory deck at 185m, a few event halls, a congress center and a commercial complex.

  A shopping mall in Hamamatsu Station building. MAY ONE features popular shops such as Loft, Muji, Big Camera and many others. Restaurants on the 7th floor and bookseller Yajimaya on the 8th are open till 21:00.

  Entetsu Department Store

  Located within a close proximity to Hamamatsu Station's North Exit, Entetsu is a department store local to Hamamatsu. You will find everything you need from groceries to women's and men's fashion, kids' toys and restaurants.

  Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments

  This is the largest museum of musical instruments in the Orient exhibiting approximately 1,300 pieces of musical instruments of the world. Admission ¥400/adult until March 31st, 2016.

  Hamamatsu Castle Park

  Hamamatsu Castle is also called "Shusse Castle." (Shusse: career advancement) It has a tight relation with several historically influential persons such as Tokugawa Ieyasu and Mizuno Tadakuni. The castle is surrounded with a vast park where a variety of flowers, plants and trees grow thick at any given time of the year, making it a great place to take a stroll.
